Between 1995 and 2002, the Frankhegy events organized by Peter Kozma became the emblem of Hungary’s independent cultural resurgence. Evolving from private Land Art experiments into large-scale, open-air festivals, Frankhegy offered a radical fusion of visual arts and electronic music. By treating the hillside as a living installation—projecting light onto trees and integrating industrial elements into the landscape—Kozma created a cult status venue that inspired a generation of artists and reshaped the concept of the party as a collective art form.
